Delta (DL) and Korean Air (KE) Kiss and Make Up (or have they?)
The rocky relationship between Delta and Korean seem to be improving. The founding Skyteam members have not been very friendly in the past few years. Award space for each other took a big hit and Delta took Korean out of their Group 1 partners, meaning no Delta MQM's if you fly Korean.
They just announced a new partnership including codeshare in select routes between the USA and Seoul (ICN) as well as Delta routes to Sao Paulo (GRU), Delta domestic flights and Korean Asian flights.
Now we hope Delta will move Korean back to group 1 partners and make more award space available! Korean Air probably has the best service and airplanes in the Skyteam network and they are the best choice to fly from the USA to Asia using Skymiles.
